Hate isn't a delayed reaction, it's immediate, it's simultaneous with the bad news. If there's time for the news, then there's plenty of time for the hate. There's no instance of widespread hate I can think of that happened months or even weeks after the fact, rather than immediately following. Like injurys, hate heals with time.
