The PSP comparison is just lame... the PSP was never intended as a console / handheld hybrid that was replacing the PS2, and it certainly didn't have detachable wireless controllers or support a "pro" style wireless controller to cater to the needs of all types of gamers.

No, you're wrong, Nintendo could compete with Sony and Microsfot, in fact they are in better finincial shape then Sony, so what makes you think that they couldn't. It's just that they don't have the will to do it.
