Pricing for an app nowadays is still stupid high, as a developper, we tend to orient our clients to a responsive site instead, still a cost, but much less, sites that used an app already have to keep up with it, but if they didn't, they should just focus on making this responsive and they're all set.
edit : also getting the app accepted(which is essential but, when you see some questionable apps pass and not yours, you wonder) and all can be a bummer and a waste of time
