I wouldn't be surprised if the entire 3DS installed base upgrades to the Switch. But Nintendo is going after the massive number of casual mobile gamers with the Switch, its obvious. Many of them don't want full console games on the go. I personaly will get the Switch day one and will love it to death. I'm not arguing the topic creator at all. I quoted someone and replied.

Nintendo gamers are not the only gamers that want those experiences. PSVita and even PS4 fans are still complaining that Monster Hunter gets released on 3DS because it should be a home console game. Some even get a 3DS just to play the games which means that not only is there a market, Nintendo is helping it grow (with Capcom and others, of course). And majority of the people with 3DS own a home console other than Wii U which hardly makes them Nintendo fans. You did not even attempt to dispute what I said, you just said random unrelated stuff.

60 million gamers is what you suggest will jump to Switch... the 3DS user base... and you are saying what about Nintendo exactly? There is obviously a big market for console games on the go as sales and popularity would suggest. Vita and 3DS offer these experiences and at 20-30 dollars cheaper than home consoles. Do you even know what you are talking about?

 

Now, on to the OP. Unfortunately, you nor I are an authority on this topic. If you want your point to have merit, you will have to get people that are not like us (uninformed gamers) to watch the video and give you feedback.
