New rumors from Emily on twitter state the right joy-con has IR which may relate to that patent.

Additionally, I think they'll show multi-touch, android OS/App support (or similar), limited BC (All VC plus some way of doing digital 3DS/WiiU), and motion (think Wiimote+).
