You speak as if you don't know or never seen a laptop computer... here it is a smaller decive with battery & screen way more powerfull than a PS4S/X1S, even comes with a keyboard & speakers:

It's not like the PS4S/X1S are the smallest devices for their power, I get what you say though, that is why I say that to have X1 kind of performance in a Switch Nvidia would need to do some black magic, but you never know, tech is always & ever evolving, we're speaking of 3 year old tech that wasn't even cutting edge when it was released 3 years ago, I hope you get my point as I do get yours ;)

Does it cost under 300 USD and uses tegra?
I know it's possible to do things lot smaller and powerfull, but you compromise in some area.
