I like the articles so far, hopefully they say something positive about my favourite FF games which are coming up soon though

Not really interested in the spin offs, since I haven`t really played any of them. But I`d probably read articles for them if you did them.

As for other ideas, I think a Rare/Free Radical one could be pretty interesting. Going from the rise to prominence of Rare, especially with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark and then all the mess with the Microsoft takeover and a chunk of the staff leaving to form Free Radical instead and still making great shooters until they made the mega flop that was Haze. And then finally all the mess with their takeover by Crytek and then Deep Silver.

Rare and Free Radical would be an interesting topic to look into at some point.

You might want to look into mobile Final Fantasy games too. With everything going mobile, it might be interesting to have a view on Final Fantasy going mobile as well.

As for future ideas, Metal Gear/Hideo Kojima are some obvious names to consider. Duke Nukem, especially due to Forever, could also be somewhat interesting. The series isn't that big anymore though, so in that regard it might not be an ideal choice. Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian might be interesting too, depending on what you can dig up. And Dwarf Fortress, and EVE Online! Those games are just ridiculous... in a good way. They're somehow special due to their scale and all. The history of multiplayer and the community side of games could be interesting too, or if you're really ambitious, you could add in single-player too for the history of how games are played.

I might write an article about the mobile games, although it would be somewhat different than the ones on the console Final Fantasy-games, since I've never played any of the mobile ones so there wouldn't be as much of a personal view on them

Since you'll cover the mainline sequels, and some of the bigger spin-offs, then you'll cover most of the games I've played.
Since I haven't played some of the other spin off, I'd perhaps be more interested in reading about them because of that fact. Such as Final Fantasy 7 Before Crisis, for example.

As for future game series, the Suikoden series, or Shin Megami Tensei series would be nice.

Just a suggestion but a Silent Hill retrospective would be interesting. SH2 is one of my favorite gaming experiences ever and SH3 was good but then I totally lost track of the series and it seemed to fragment.

And if you wanted to educate people on one of the greatest series--and tragedies--in gaming, then you could cover Suikoden. Not a lot of people have played those games, though, so I can understand if that seems too niche.

I think I will cover Suikoden and Silent Hill at some point. Shin Megami Tensei is a very interesting topic as well, but the series is a pretty complicated mess of different sub-series and spin-offs. I'll still probably look into it at some point in some form.
