I think its the perfect concept for Nintendo.
The main selling point of any Nintendo device is and always be Nintendo published games, so a device that allows for the maximum number of Nintendo titles along with less redundant titles is their best bet.
They just need to make sure they have a solid price and strong marketing.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
