Another slap in the face of the Wii.

Seriously people, its time to wake up, we can't use the, "but development begain before anyone knew the Wii would be a success" argument anymore with shit like this happening. Developers don't want the Wii to be a success, they have too much invested in the HD market to backtrack now and if they aren't trying to kill the Wii, they're certainly sending the message to Nintendo they want an HD console out of them.

Either they're trying to spite Nintendo for not playing ball and making an HD console like the others or they're simply trying to protect this new market formula of sequels and fewer genres.
