Yeah im not saying that switch is going to be more successful, but the announcement was a success.

Actually, it we think about it, both the Wii and Wii U were announced during e3 and they performed differently sales-wise.

What really matters is whether people get interested in buying the console or not, not when the console is announced. The media will always cover Nintendo because they are one of the big three and the way things work the three of them will get free publicity for a new console announcement.
