Well they didn't do this song and dance with the Wii or the Wii U. Bethesda isn't like EA, Ubi, and Activision who will dip their toes in almost any console. I'm convinced you could launch a new console you made in your basement and if it is powerful enough you can probably get at least the latest Assassin's Creed on it :P
