Definitely will IMO

This product is aimed for young adults, the GBA kids that are now grown up. On top of that the other hardcore fans, who will be there at launch.. The tax return point mentioned earlier, is also valid. I've said this before, but I think late March is the perfect time for nintendo to launch, because

1. no competition (holiday deals from competition. etc)
2. time is reduced until the next holiday/less pressure to fill out calendar yr with games.

3DS had sw shortage due to teams dedicated for Wii U hd development, and shouldn't have that problem now. Scale of games won't be much larger than Wii U HD titles, which dev teams now have 4 yrs of experience.

Nintendo seems locked & loaded for Switch.

Also, $299 today , is equal to $270 in '11. 3DS was $250 in '11. Switch is a more powerful than usual nintendo portable (also marketed as home, to attract the wii U-serbase), so its fair to expect a price jump, IMO barebones unit for $299.
