You expect it to cost $250? It will cost at least $300 at launch, and $350 isn't unlikely. But the Switch is a home console and a handheld, it is a lot more powerful than a 3DS. It will have AAA games at launch I expect. Zelda, Mario, Skyrim, Call of Duty, New IPs etc. So yes it could work for Switch. Depends a lot on marketing I think. And if it's too expensive, they can do as they did with 3DS and make a quick price drop, worked pretty well last time ;)
Anyway, launching in Marts might not be a bad idea, it might help the holiday sales, since people might have tried the Switch when the holidays arrives, and therefore put it on their wishing lists.
