They have a clear main objective with this trailer.
Show everyone in their target demographic of choice (young adults here) that the Switch plays all the traditional games they know and love, and it plays them anywhere, in very convenient ways.
It might do other cool things. It might actualy have a touch screen. A stylus. Gyro and motion controls. But that's not important right now. They want everyone to know that it can do all the things core players want.
They later, they can talk goofy shit. And not the other way around, where people thought all games for Wii had to be about jumping around flailing your arms, when really it also did completely ordinary games.
