Switch is gonna be a heavy blow to PS4 and the potential of PS5 in Japan.

Games will  become multiplataform at the most. There is no reason for developers to stop porting their games for the PS4, there won't sucha shift in total market share.

Nintendo already lost even for Sega in the  past, in Japan. It is too early to say that a console which we know nothing about will blow the potential of other console that we know nothing about and won't be coming out in atleast 2-3 years.

Well that's the thing, Switch is going to be genuine competition to PS4. Even taking exclusive support from PS4 is gonna be a blow. Espeically when consider Japan prefers portable options.

PS4 is looking like it may be a decline versus PS3. Switch isn't going to help that situation.
