Except UK, France, Germany etc aren`t really big console gaming markets. Europe as a whole is, sure, but the individual countries, not so much. Unlike India (and formerly China) Japan has the economy to support a large market and most importantly the history of having a large console market. Japan used to be easily bigger than any individual European country so to be compared to them now just shows how much the market their has declined. |
India has the economy to support a huge console market. There are many rich people here. Samsung Galaxy S7, Notes and iPhones sell very well here. Even the PC gaming community here is 14 million in number.
The reason consoles don't do well here is because they are overpriced, PS4 1TB costs $600 here and that PC gaming community is really huge and they aren't thta interested in buying consoles with paid online and AAA games that are three times as expensive as they are on PC while looking and performing worse.
Its also huge due to piracy and that's not becasue people can't afford games as many pirates have high end PC's and watch movies at theaters its just people don't consider games worth any money.
