The NDA on this console is insane. Obviously, nobody is allowed to discuss shit until Nintendo is ready. Nintendo really covered their bases... but why? Maybe to not undermine any other company's potential holiday sales? Or maybe to build speculation hype? Or maybe nothing is ready and they want a clearer window for release dates.
That NDA must be fierce though.
