Honestly, Nintendo could've made the most powerful console in the market, with all the third party support possible and great exclusive games, and it wouldn't attract core gamers (I mean, MS/Sony/PC gamers) just because of stubborness and brand loyalty. They should really focus on keeping their userbase and attract casual gamers again. Make it cheap, accessible and marketable. Provide a good games lineup. And don't try to fight tech wise, it's just pointless. That's just my opinion, though.

I'm actually torn on this point. On the one hand I agree with you, on the other hand... If Nintendo made a machine strong enough to rival any from MS and Sony, and had all the 3rd party support, they  could CRUSH the competition; they have after all the best 1st party line up.

Not sure. I mean, I agree, Nintendo has the best first party lineup. Now, if you want to attract core gamers from other fanbases, I'm not sure that raw power and good support are enough. Some people don't like Nintendo exclusives. Others think they are kiddie and immature. Others want to play the exclusives they were playing for the last 10 years... So the best option is trying to do something wildly different, and cheap, to become at least their second choice. Not trying to compete. And, honestly, Nintendo is bad competing, and it's more comfortable doing its own thing.
