this really though in a nutshell ^^^^

even if somehow Nintendo was aiming for a different audience than Sony/Micro (they're not, but whatever) how do you seriously think logically releasing their games on other VIDEO GAME system would help? People want to game and if they potentially could get some of Nintendo's best offerings elsewhere those are customers the big N would potentially lose on their own hardware.

it just doesn't make sense. Nintendo's draw are their IPs...  why would they cut a deal involving that. Now a better theory would be at some point that they might possibly do a collaboration system with another big developer. I could see Sony and Nintendo working on a project together. But cutting off part of their library and drawing away people from their own hardware? just bizarre

the market is not big enough for the big N to be aiming for a different type of gamer like you suggest. The same type of person who wants to play Dark Souls on the PS4 may easilyyyy want to play Zelda on the Switch

Tough to say. Lets say Nintendo gives one of Sony or MS, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake with high end graphics in 4K.

That could introduce a new generation of teenagers to the franchise or reintroduce people in their 20s/30s to the Zelda IP, and then you hey whataya know there's a brand new Zelda only on the Switch platform, and MS is also putting Halo on Switch too as part of a deal.

Now maybe a person who wouldn't really be into the Switch gets one, it's not as if the ol' Playstation 5 or XBox Scorpio is going to fit into the back pack for plane rides either, so it's different enough hardware wise to have value if the player likes the software.

We're just too used to old paradigms of Sony and MS being "enemies", but if you're not even really fighting for the same audience anymore, how are you "enemies"? Nintendo likely could score one whopper of a deal too, I bet MS would open up the cheque book and offer a huge pay day for a deal with Nintendo on top of marketing support as well.

you walk into any 'trendy' young peoples store, like a Hot Topic or whatever, and guess what you see? Nintendo crap everywhere. Pokemon , Zelda, Mario, Metroid.

Nintendo is extremely prevalent with young people. As soon as Nintendo starts selling out to giants like Microsoft would be the end of their success. Until you can actually name some big advantages of Nintendo cutting any deals I would scrap these predictions.

I don't honestly think that YOU think that the Switch isn't a competitor to Xone/PS4. there are literally 3 main home console developers on the market, that's too few for them not to be in direct contention automatically with one another.

there's an argument that the 3DS sales don't effect the Xone sales- sure- but to say the same about a hybrid system? no.
