The review says the game is devoid of the bewildering and bloated lectures found in previous MGS games. It sounds like Kojima has abandoned what makes MGS so special and may have dumbed down the thought provoking mologues in favor of a purely hollywood style entertainment story. Not good news. I hope Kojima found a way of incorporating his thematic concepts into the storyline perhaps in a different and more effective way rather than simply abandoning them. MGS3 recieved enough flak from fans for being "simplified" etc compared to MGS2 and gamepro makes it seem as if Kojima went even a step further this time, by creating a storyline more entertaining than thoughtful.

What are your opinions? what did Gamepro mean with their sentence? Did Kojima find a way of including his thematic exploration in a more subtle yet just as developed manner, or has he abandoned the abstract pondering all together in favor of mainstream appeal?
