Did we see a new Mario Kart?

I am guessing mario kart 8.5 but that's a good thing. Especially since you can play some Mario Kart right from the start on your Nintendo console. It's a bit like Driveclub VR an older game remade to use newer hardware (PS4 pro and PSVR in DC is case) and MK8.5 in Nintendo Shift its case.
