I think it looks amazing. Really loved the modularity, looks practical. The name is a bit awful. Anyway, I'm 110% buying this.
Just taking half of my console to keep playing, without stopping looked incredible. They tablet can also stay up on its own and you can grab the controllers and play like a mini console. Incredible. It's a really, really inspired design that will win some prizes.
I'm kinda worried about some things:
- Looks expensive. A big high res screen and a seemingly powerful SoC. I fear that if this is US$ 300 or more Nintendo may screw up with their handheld market, since the 250 bucks 3Ds failed big time until they cut the price to 180. I'm not that confident that this can be sold for 200, even if it's just the tablet thing. This thing should be cheap enough to work as a secondary console. A lot of people already have PS4s or X1s and they won't change platforms after just 3 years.
- I don't know, but the framerate of Zelda on the portable device looked low, like 20 something. It may be some mistake when doing the video, but I got worried here.
- Name is terribad. NX would be better. I also think it can lead to jokes like "Switch made me switch to PS4/X1". Minor problem, tough.
