The game has been available for about 6 days. Even casuals will have played about 10 hours by now. Yeah more people are buying subscriptions every day but we don't know how many. The majority of the people playing bought the game. Before the early enlisted version came out the XB1 version had almost 28k players one day and now its has 125k.
