Communication in pokemon has gone to shit. He can't be serious. Internet is the future. An MMO with voice chat would easily outdo what the first games established because today, we are all connected online. Not by link cables or street pass.

But to his credit, in Japan, handhelds probably offer more communication opportunities because of the larger handheld market. He doesn't understand...a Pokemon MMO would set the world on fire. Not just the 15 Million people who keep buying it, we could see numbers mimicking rgb. But, if they have research and development going behind their reasonings, I can't complain.

The Pokemon following often has massive lan like gatherings though much like Monster Hunter to the point it's become a big part of the appeal for those who go, the communication he's talking about is the social side of thing where fans actively socialize and these gatherings are examples of that. Even many fans who don't go utilize this as often groups of friends will have some Pokemon fans in them and they'd get together to trade and all.
