An MMO with voice chat would easily outdo what the first games established because today, we are all connected online. Not by link cables or street pass. But to his credit, in Japan, handhelds probably offer more communication opportunities because of the larger handheld market. He doesn't understand...a Pokemon MMO would set the world on fire. Not just the 15 Million people who keep buying it, we could see numbers mimicking rgb. But, if they have research and development going behind their reasonings, I can't complain. |
Maybe he's talking about communication between young gamers, as from the examples I showed. It not just long-time fans who will play these games, but also children or new gamers as well. Plus Japan is a smaller country than anything in North America, thus friends can meet each other a little easier unless one moves outside of the city or vice versa or something. Then you got the language barrier, which I'm not sure how MMOs have resolved that in which could work in Pokemon for all ages.
