Look if you want to believe in some super powerful 4 TFLOP NX, be my guest. Just don't come here complaining later on that you didn't get what you wanted when there were plenty of indicators otherwise.

I said the same thing earlier in the year when a certain group of Nintendo fans steadfastly refused to believe Nintendo would not support the Wii U for a full 5 years (because other Nintendo consoles have been supported that long). I've learned there's a certain stubborness to the point of blocking out even obvious facts to want to believe, but I will say those posters then came back and started complaining that they didn't get what they wanted, even though I told them like 50 times that Nintendo had basically given up on the Wii U and there were multiple credible sources stating as much (like Nikkei).

I do suspect actually that even if Nintendo shows the NX to be a hybrid a certain "stubborn" section of the Nintendo fanbase will continue to hold out hope for a "real console NX" that will have PS4 Pro-type specs. Some people are never going to let that go.

No dude my view is that it's plausible they use competent specs if the platform is not a hybrid you're the one right now hung up on Tegra because some person you admire at IGN bandwagoned on a rumour so you can't be moaning about stubborness as you're the worst offender in that aspect other rumours can be plausible as well. Your arguments with other people don't concern me as no matter what NX turns out to be is not a big issue to me as I'm open to it turning out different something I'm not sure is the same for yourself as the are indicators that suggest it's not a Tegra powered hybrid like you're pushing.

I'm "hung up" on Tegra because several credible sources are saying that and no credible source has come forward to say "no guys, that's wrong" (which would be simple enough to do).

The Tegra hybrid is not what I would personally design or want either, but I've been around "the game" of following Nintendo for long enough to know what I (or you) want doesn't mean shit.

And there are plenty of rational reasons to combine the portable and console into one device. Nintendo fans as is barely choose to buy the console even when the Wii U is like 50x more powerful than a 3DS with many of its own exclusives. Who the fuck really is going to go rushing to buy a "shared library" Nintendo console that has no exclusives and the graphics gap is maybe 3 or 4 to 1 (can't be much larger than that otherwise game engines simply aren't going to run properly across devices).

Again not what *I* would personally make though, so you can put that little puppy to sleep right now. I'm not advocating for this, but this is apparently the direction Nintendo has chosen. And no amount of crying, bitching, complaining is going to change that. If Nintendo didn't change Toon Link back to the "realistic Link", there's no amount of backlash that will get them to change their mind on something before they try it.
