Michael Pachter has always been known for saying stupid stuff. I will never be able to see him as anything more than some random guy who jumping into gaming way too late and now thinks his opinion should matter to everyone.

But I am not just mad a this statement because I feel it was a dick move, I am mad at it because he did it in the worst possible way. Pachter said things about Iwata that were rude and unnecessary before he died. In the past he has said the following -

"I dont know why Iwata is still employed"

"It's entirely possible that he's delusional"

And then we go forward to the time after he died. Even people who did not like the way Iwata ran the company agreed that he was a great name in the gaming industry and that it would only be right to honor him for the good that he has done. During the year that followed his passing many people honored him in any way possible, even in most recent months.

And now, after all of that has dies down, and within that time Pachter never said anything. But now he decides to come out and basically say "Iwata was not even that good of a developer" Thats like going up to someone whose mother died little over a year ago and saying "I never even liked her". He was a jerk for saying it and he was a coward for waiting until now to say it.
