I don't think Sony ever intended to not have any major first party release during holidays. All of the first party game have missed their Holidays release windows.

In 2014 - The order: 1886; 2015- Uncharted 4 & 2016: The Last Guardian(moved to December 2016) & Horizon Zero Dawn all of these game were intended to be big holiday titles that were pushed back to insure quality.

It's great for third partry and did not hurt sales of PS4, but probably resulted in less sales for Sony Interactive Ent. especially in North America were Holidays spending is so great.

I can agree with the bolded part.  I just feel Sony doesn't have the pressure to push their games during the holidays due to good ps4 sales.  I think they are happy with the install base they have that they don't mind losing a little bit a marketshare to MS.  Sony already have a solid install base to sell the games to.  Most of the profit comes from software anyway.

How many copies do you think Uncharted 4 would of sold if it release Winter 2015 instead of May 2016. That's money that would of went to Sony studios. It probably would help boost holidays sales of PS4 hardware even higher if there was a major First party release in 2014, 2015 & eventual 2016 holiday sales.
