I bought it digitally. Up until about two days before release, I didn't even know there was a retail version! In fact, I've been buying everything digitally since like March. I wanted a physical release of Gears 4 but I went ahead and purchased that digitally, too. I think my days of Going to Gamestop are done.
Anecdotal, of course but nowadays, you can't beat the convenience.
