"But if the console sales of both HD consoles have healthy sales, then Ninty failed to cannibalized HD market and they fail on their market strategy, which means Malstrom is also wrong..."
This said on the day when the last week's WiiFit monster sales are coming? What is happening with you? The sky is falling... ITS FALLING! lol Just plaing with you.
Now, let me begin by saying that 3rd parties that ditch the Wii will not suffer or die. But, they could end up on the verge of just that. When you ignore a console with a large userbase, it would be the dumbest business decision as there is a lot of money to be made.
Now, Rocketpig, what you said is most definitely true and would be one of the best responses this thread has had so far in saying that this is not the 6th gen, where you had to develop for the Ps2 or you died or failed a lot. But, that doesn't mean that that they should completely go on without it as they would take a blow.
Think about it this way. :
You have an Ipod that can hold 6 mil songs, then there is one that can hold 2 mil and the other can hold 3 mil. Combined, they are less than the total that the 1st has. Just cause more "core" listeners listen to the last 2 you are not going to ditch the 1st right? The other 2 would begin to run out of space while the 1st would have lots of room to choose from and expand on.
I have no idea what the hell I just wrote. I feel like I was drunk typing. Anyway, to summarize the stuff I wrote, in my best possible way, developers can still make games for the Ps3 and 360, but they would be able to expand their name and popularity if they may more games on the Wii. (which a lot of 3rd parties are probably not known to the Wii's casual audience, and they could get known. I mean, Carnival Games probably made Take Two famous in the eyes of Oprah and others who probably played it.
(What did I just type? It's like my words are claustrophobic.)
Well whatever. _
