If only they never just announced a 4K capable console your idea might actually have some merit.
The PS5 is probably coming 2019 at the latest - 6 years after the release of the PS4 and 3 years have the PS4 Pro. I don't see Sony going more than 6 years before releasing a new console, especially with Scoprio coming out next year. I really don't think Sony is going to sit idly by and give MS all of that advertising ammo.
