The new series, judging from the first episode, is everything that the film was not. I'll stick with it for now but I am underwhelmed.

You gotta expect more depth and complexity form a TV serie that's gonna have douzens of episodes. I think that the movie already has that experience, why not explore the profundity the story is able to have in this new project? Is better than just a remake imo.
