Color Splash was doomed from the beginning anyway. I've nothing to do with that, just stating the obvious. For some reason Nintendo decided to make a sequel to the most hated Paper Mario game and they will feel the consequences, just like what happened with Farce. 

If you think this game is gonna flop at Federation Force levels you are out of reality here, this game could be esily a million seller by the time Xmas comes, is charming, is fun, is good for publics from all ages, it looks phenomenal, is a Mario game and it has positive reviews. I'm not seeing this floping hard.

It is not gonna flop at Farce levels, but it'll sell bad for a Mario game. It's not even on the pre-order list right now. Even Bayonetta 2 made it there several weeks before release and only recently reached 1m. I expect Color Splash to remain below the 400k.
