If one more person posts something about MGS4 appearing on the 360...

Not so simple. Works well for Linear games like jRPGs. However, the developers of GTA have been saying that there is going to need to be a solution (like HDD install). Can't just change discs everytime you go to a different area.

Is the game area of MSG4 like GTA IV's? And even then...

GTA IV still fit on one DVD9.

To be quite honest, I believe the MGSIV blu-ray claims are a talking point used to buff up the PS3 hardware and the usefullness of blu-ray.

While I'm sure the BR disc is close to full on in MGS4, I also believe that Kojima probably just artificially filled it up with whatever bells and whistles he could dump into the game. Maybe an alternative language track or something, or redundant information for faster load times, ect, or maybe less voice compression. Maybe a "making of" segment. The fact is, the game doesnt' look better than a lot of 360 games, and even if it had 30 of 40 hours of actual game on there, I believe it could probably be squeezed on a couple of DL-DVDs. 4 max, ala Lost Odyssey.

If Kojima doesn't want it on 360, it won't be. If he does, Blu-Ray isn't required for gaming and this gen it never will be, it's just a nice extra. In the end, it is just a larger storage medium, and there are ways to work around that. Particularly if you develop a game with that in mind.
