Instead of being able to redesign it they will have to use it at launch. Or lets say theres some sort of Mattrick style response to NX. Fans are in arms about it. Responding to fans and such was what lead to the flaw in the Wii U's approach in trying to appeal to the so called core and all, with the Wii they did everything their own way that's one key reason it was handled far better than its successor.
They don't intend to change anything with NX because they recognize they have to fully commit to an approach like they did with the Wii.
