personally I would not have given it more than a 5 (would give it a 3 but I understand I am tainted by my bitter disappointment) and that would be being generous. It deserved to bomb, when you remake such an iconic classic the expectations are already very high for approval, it doesn't even come across as a good movie if you ignore the history it is trying to live up to.
