One thing I hope is that the full-blown sorcery isn't limited to the Strange movies; there should have been some mysticism in the Thor, not to mention with Scarlet Witch. If Doctor Strange does well, we could see magic elsewhere in the MCU. At least it's getting one Hell of an introduction though, even if a little overdue. |
Technically there was a little Mysticism in Thor.
Remember that Thor stated that magic and science is the same in his world.
They are trying to keep things consistent though, by basing things around Magi-tech, so as to provide more believability... As humans we typically see technology as something that enables us to achieve the impossible/unbelievable... And that is why Thor isn't a literal magical God of Thunder.
The Thor movie didn't really have to explain much of the tech in the film thankfully... Only the Bifrost (Which is a Einstein-Rosen Bridge/Wormhole.) and other tidbits.
I am interested to see how they keep Doctor Strange in-line with that.

I want more Iron Man. I love the character, I love Robert Downy Jr. He made the Marvel Cinematic Universe what it is, can't get enough of his character.

Not keen on the new Spiderman, we don't need to reboot, the reboot, with someone even younger... Next you know they will use a toddler with the next reboot. I hate reboots, especially when it hasn't even been a long time between when the last film ended and where the reboot picks up.
They should have just swapped in a different character or got Tobey back (Who was keen). :(
