I think you should research gaming history the were 2 gaming crashes, one in 1977 and one in 1983.

I have never heard about it. Not much of a crash. The Atari 2600 was released in 1977. Seems like manufacturers flood the market with pong consoles that affected a few cartridge based consoles.
