On the Tax question, I feel Trump not only missed a great opportunity to advance his cause but failed so miserable that I believe it will definitely cost him some votes.

During the primaries, Trump talked about getting rid of the carried Tax loophole. This actually was a riding theme of his during that time. Every since he won the primaries you have not heard him say anything on the loophole or any other loopholes that reward the rich. Next Trump release his economic plan and you see these great incentives for the rich but nothing on how this will be paid and definitely nothing on getting rid of the loopholes. Then we have Trump economic advisory team where half of them make up billionaire fund managers. These are the same people that Trump stated he would make unhappy but they are now heading up his economic policy.

Now I do not know about anyone else but it really seem hard for me to picture these people cutting into their money by getting rid of loopholes that have made them very rich. Since this team was setup, nothing from Trump on getting rid of the carried tax, nothing on getting rid of all the loopholes that keep the rich getting much richer and everyone else stays put. Instead we have an economic plan that makes them even more rich.

I do not understand how people who support Trump do not question this part even a little. So going back to the debate, it seems that the reason Trump did not make any statements about getting rid of loopholes that continue to reward the rich could possible be because he has no intention of getting rid of them. Instead his plan is exactly what it is, an incentive for rich people.
