No Man's Sky being investigated for false advertising

Evidently a UK Regulator is looking into whether or not their claims about this game were so misleading that they constitute false advertising. It probably doesn't help that Sony's president just said Murray "sounded like he was promising more features" than he could deliver. I'm just wondering if all those interviews and released gameplay footage constitute "advertising" where they clearly mislead the players, or if all that matters is what's written on the box? Really don't know much about this sort of thing.

If interviews, trailers, and screenshots count, I think they might be in some serious trouble.

This has to be one of the biggest letdowns of the generation. Has anything else topped this so far?

Some sort of class action lawsuit is inevitable, game companies have been sued for less.

This is why Sony is trying to downplay their involvment with this game and now saying they had nothing to do with the advertising. Had things been different this would be treated as a great success for Sony.

I think the only game that comes close to this letdown is Destiny, but that was still an arguably better product and got better over time.
