No... alot of american reviewers think movies are great if they just have enough special effects, and car chases, explosions, action scenes. Even if the story telling of it is a mess, or it lacks story, has plotholes ect.

Obviously not. The traditional movie critic is a Cultural Marxist who gives high scores to foreign movies and low scores to typical Western Movies.

The more perversion and portrayal of unnormal things a movie has the higher the score it will receive, and the more good morals and traditional Western culture and values it has, the lower the score.

"Does this movie ask what it is to be human? Good, it's clearly a five."

"Does this movie criticize the system. No? I give it a two!"

^ those types of critics I generall agree with.

I dislike when movies are nothing but action scenes, explosions car chases, and lack substance, good storytelling ect.
