Companies can certainly live without the Wii BUT it means living a more precarious life. PS360 gamer are more hardcore, more decerning and want the best. So you have to really spend big, and deliver. CoD4 is making mega-bucks. However by the same token, Haze will probably be a collossal failure. CoD4 has really raised the bar and making every other FPS look bad in comparison.
Ubisoft is giving a lot of support to Wii, but perhaps not the type you're looking for. Konami has as well. Epic - doubt they ever will - they're always pushed the technological envelope and will be happy staying with PS360. | The problem was the HD console market was dwindling/shrinking. Just look at vgchartz weekly sales for details, atleast in america. So what will happen now if Wii cannibalizing the HD console's market? What will happen for 3rd party developers still continues to develop for HD consoles?

The HD market is not dwindling in any way. It is growing and still gaining speed. However, Wii is far outstripping them and stealing marketshare - or prehaps increasing the size of the market and having a bigger slice of a larger market than existed before.
Tons of games are profitable on HD consoles on their base is still growing and will continue to grow. The one issue is that neither will have a large enough userbase than 3rd parties will want to do exclusives for either platform but that's a bonus for HD owners as either system will have the games you want.
