The most popular 3DS model is the XL which has a 4.88" screen, thats not insanely different from the 6.2" screen that is rumored.
Besides, there will very likely be a smaller model released down the line when its possible to do so, Nintendo always releases multiple iterations of their handhelds.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
