To put it bluntly people have tunnel vision when it comes to trying to be successful, the only way in their mind to be successful is to copy what's already a success. This is a common problem in many industries right across the board as well, the problem is this most of the time never leads to a success as you'll never dethrone the market leader by copying them. The pattern of success often involves putting your own spin on things and that's how Nintendo have always operated and always should operate tbh.
I'd also rather NX was something unique than a me 2 type of console tbh.
