We are here talking about one unifed devaice where NIntendo teams are not splited on handheld and home devolpment teams, all Nintendo teams working on games for one devaice, you cant relly compare that with anuthing Nintendo done before.

Wii U was not a hybrid device, you had handheld/tablet controller but you couldn't use it on go, hybrid device of home console and handheld basically means you can use like real handheld on go or like real home console at home, and ad to that unified development of all gaming teams (not split like before on handheld and home console games), and you have totally different thing than anything before.

You are still missing the point.

Nintendo has unified game library's from multiple devices before (Mobile on home console etc') and it was never some kind of run-away success.

And the Wii U most certainly is a Hybrid device.

You are missing point.

It's not same if GC could run GBA games (not to mentione that GBA couldnt run GC games), and if you have just one single device for which are developed games bought from all Nintendo handheld and home console teams (that are actualy now merged).

Of Course that Wii U is not hybrid, you cant use Wii U gamepad like real handheld on go, Wii U gamepad is basically Wii U Pro controller with screen in middle, Wii U is just a home console with tablet like controller not hybrid.
