To be honest I though the thing was already being mass produced. The article says that:

Annual production of Nintendo NX is estimated at 9.5-10 million units, the sources said.

So if this is still in trial phase, how could they aim for a march release? I say to you: expect droughts or expect delays.

Typical production path for a console is 3 months of trials and 3 months of full production before launch.   This actually helps solidify the March launch date.

I am sold on the march date for the release. But I am thinking Iphone7 right now, Apple revealed 2 or 3 weeks before it was on the market, even less in some places. 

I think Nintendo intends to do that, but I think they do not understand how the mind of gamers work, if we get anxious, we will buy whatever to calm us down. And whatever is Ps4 Pro and Scorpio, the Lord knows what else, PSVR even.

If they do not give us a bone, they risk losing a good chunk of the hardcore gamers. Really hardcore, not Call of Duty hardcore. I mean, the people that spend rivers of money on gaming.
