I couldn't disagree more with that ps3/ps4 comparison. The correct comparison would be a PC playing in ultra settings and a PC playing in medium/high settings. Why should the world of console gaming be the only one that should not keep up with the technology advancements?

I honestly don't understand it. If you're happy with your current console, why should it matter at what settings I'm playing my game? Does it take anything away from your experience? I could understand some anger if there would be 2 different games, or locked functionality between 2 games, or even exclusive games. But none of those things is happening, so what's with all the sourness?

No generation before the ps3/xb360 (that I can remember) went for 6+ years. That was an abnormality and honestly speaking, it went for way way too long. I had to force myself to turn on my old gen consoles because of how outdated they looked, and sometimes I would skip games entirely if they weren't on PC in the last few years.

So... yeah... don't upgrade if you're happy with the console, enjoy the games. And once the new gen starts just enjoy the massive performance leap you're going to get.

Did you not read the OP about how "Its like a whole new game" ??.

And no my CoD example is perfect.

CoD on PS3 = Same game but low settings and 720P

CoD on PS4 = Same game Mid/High settings and 1080P

See its the samer game but the PS4 version both runs and looks better.

I guess you could use the PC as an example too but we all know consoles dont = PC's.

In other words a PS4 owner knowing that PC is more powerful is not really a problem.

Walking around to your friends who own a PS4Pro and having them brag about it and when you see how better it looks etc will make many people feel like they are being forced to upgrade "if" they want to keep up.

I believe its going to go to the point where people will just get sick of trying to keep up.

BUT!.. This is just my opinion on the subject of mid gen consoles. However this also in no way effects me since im one of the ones who went to PC this gen .

But i also do plan on picking up a PS4pro also. But i know id be pissed right now if i owned or got the original like a year ago. So i can see where people who have problems with this are coming from.

Just to clear it up your Cod PS3 vs COD PS4 is nowhere near the same. Those are pretty much two different games. One is only multiplayer and is way different than 720p to 1080p. So that is a pretty bad example. They have completely differnet features in the actual games. The PS4 vs PS4Pro is different because it will only be a difference of one looking and running a little better than the other.

The PC comparison is actually pretty much what this will be. Heck it is almost like last gen where some MP games ran and looked slightly better on 360 than PS3. And it never stopped anyone from buying a PS3 and being happy with it.

Also the friend bragging about their pro things seems silly to me. I mean I have a 2012 Altima by friend just bought a 2016 Chevy Camero. And he brags about it and I see how good it looks but I don't feel "forced" to upgrade. I have a 60inch LG HDTV and my other friend just got a 75 inch Samsung 4kUHDTV and brags about it and I saw how good it looks and I do not feel forced to upgrade. So that argument just seems odd to me. Of course it may be an issue to others who feel they have to have the best(even though they technically don't because there will always be someone who has better) but for most everyday folks I do not think it will be an issue at all. To the hardcore forum dwellers like some of us...maybe.

I plan on getting a Pro around the time the Scorpio releases because it will be a lot cheaper by then and I might have a 4k TV by then...maybe anyway lol.
