Never thought people would hate them

It be less hated. If the gamepad requirement wasn't needed for the option menus. If the video chat was actually useful. A lot of games need the gamepad to be on. So you can pass the menu screen. They never added a option to fully power it off. Things of this nature adds to Nintendo UI's hate.
