PS4 this week outsold XB1 lifetime sales in Japan.

Meanwhile the ps4 is matching it's predecessor in a really tricky home console market.  Bravo.  It's the shining light in the japanese home console industry.  

 

This market alone will add a minimum of 8m units to ps4's lead over the xb1 worldwide this gen.  And they say Japan doesn't matter!  

 

It's almost single-handedly the reason why the ps4 line up is so diverse and much different to it's rival the xbox.  

 

This. There's also still a chance the PS4 will match the PS3, possibly pass it. Pro will help keep its baseline sales higher. We have FF15 and FF7 Remake coming, which will help boost sales quite a bit. DQ11. VR may also be a small hit in Japan. Just so many things left that will help sales.

Exactly.  Ps4 keeping things very healthy for itself.  It's great to see really.  I always took a liking to the japanese console market. And it would have been a shame if the ps4 followed the Wii U and xb1 although the Wii U didn't flop, it just underperformed.
