The secrecy surrounding the NX is unreal. We're about six months away from the supposed March launch date, yet we've seen or heard nothing official other than A) it's a thing that exists, and B) it's coming in March. No official announcement or unveiling, no confirmation of the system's concept/gimmick, no final release date, no launch lineup, and no price point. TGS was the last big trade show before March, and would have been an opportune time to announce it. As March gets closer, Nintendo has less and less time to market and build up hype for the system.

This is highly unusual for Nintendo. They're giving the impression that the NX is getting delayed (and some even more cynical gamers might come to the conclusion that it's vaporware). At the very least, they're demonstrating that they simply have no interest in unveiling hardware at big trade shows anymore. The Wii and Wii U were both shown the E3 of the year before launch, and the GameCube was announced in August 2000. The 3DS was announced a year before launch, and the DS was announced ten months prior to launch. But here we are with only a general release window and a couple of confirmed games which may or may not be launch titles, and that release window is only half a year away.

They definitely changed their strategy and move away from strategie from their past consoles (especially Wii U), they adjusting to modern time where you dont need one year or more to reveal your console before launch, and where around 6 monts would be more than enuf.
